How does that saying by Robert Browning goes?
"Grow old with me! The best is yet to be."
Love gives me a fairy tale.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Having spent 8 hours total at airports, Chris & I arrived at Los Cabos half an hour before the sun set.
The drive from the airport to the resort was quite long to say the least.
But the view was not so bad. Wouldn't you agree?
We arrived at Playa Grande Resort just as the moon illuminates its light.
It was a relieved to have finally climbed out of a moving vehicle & stretched my legs.
Chris checked us in & we made our way to the suite.
My jaw dropped the moment I walked through the door.Chris surprised me, yet again.
"Happy" was an understatement.
I was swooning with joy & excitement.
Then I find another surprise waiting for me.
This gorgeous view from our balcony.
And another spectacular view from the other side of the suite.
Having ooo'd & ahhh'ed I made a quick change of clothing & we dashed out the door to explore the marina.
But my tummy was growling angrily.
We popped in and out of restaurants along the marina for appetizers & drinks.
First stop, Solomon's Landing.
The place was bustling with couples on their date.
It was filled with Valentine's decor & live band music.
Salted rim for me.
None for Chris.
Fresh.
Full of flavor.
With plenty of tequila.
Just the way I like it.
These ceviche tacos were deliciously fresh.
And the crunchy taco shell added wonderfully nice texture.
No Valentine's decoration here.
Just lit up lanterns hanging in the trees & different t-shirts from around the world hang on the ceiling.
And TVs showing college basketball games.
Along with our margaritas, we ordered a plate of Jalapenos cheese balls to snack on.
These fried balls were not too bad.
They oozed cheesy goodness all over.
But I wouldn't order them again.
Having our fair share of margaritas we explored the marina & its surrounding some more.
These lobsters were ginormous in person!
Mi hombres.
His mujer.
And around the corner from the marina is Medano Beach.
And snuggled down at this restaurant for a beer or two.
Everything was just peaceful & perfect.
We grabbed our beers and plopped down in the sand on the beach for some alone time.
And that's when Chris proposed to me.
Under the glowing moon with twinkling lights and ocean waves lapping three feet away.
It was a fairy tale comes true.
Afterward we grabbed another margarita at The Office couple restaurants down.
My fairy tale ending to a perfect night.
And a new beginning.
