Birthday in New Orleans

By Vy Primozich - 9:02 PM

If you know me, you know I rarely celebrate my birthdays.
Chris surprised me with a last minute birthday weekend in NOLA.
And it is decided, I want to travel and explore for every birthday, every celebration, and every anniversary!
No present is greater than more adventures, memories, and photographs.

Of course, C came along our adventures.
We have never not take him with us when traveling.
And I wouldn't have it any other way. Not yet, at least. I want to show him the world and watch him take it all in. and it is never too early or late to create these memories with your baby/toddler(s).

The NOLA heat embraced our skin as we stepped off the airplane. We weaved our way through the airport and hopped into one of the many taxis patiently waiting in queue for its next fare. And a short ride later, our driver pulled up to our hotel.

We dropped off our luggage and made a quick change of clothing into something light and more breathable and dashed out the door.

We queued up in line for lunch at ACME Oysters House.

ACME is a constitution of New Orlean seafood since 1910.
Its offerings range from gulf oyster, po-boys, gumbos, to varieties of Cajun-Creoles classics.

These chargrilled oysters are my favorite.
They are the best in town, hands down!
Fresh and delicious right off the grill.

And to be frank, their gumbo, red bean + rice, and po-boy were rather bland and underwhelming.

Don't fret. I got you covered. I will share with you the spot for the best creole classics. but that will be another time in another blog post.
