I know this most likely won't be a popular opinion, but I am not ecstatic about New Years Eve.
It is so over hyped, full of expectation, expensive & ultimately tends to end up being a bit of an anti-climax.
But this year I was very much looking forward to it. I was ready to close the 2013 chapter & excited to welcome the new year with the bestie, the boyfriend & good ol' familiar faces.
In return, I offered to host the pre-game at our place, at the 360 Condos Club Room on 9th floor to be exact - which to our pleasant surprise, it was being decorated for another NYE party by Zee & a couple of other 360 residents. Zee kindly invited us to join our party with hers. It worked out wonderfully.
It was still early & we had the whole club room to ourselves.
We decided to take a few prom-pose photos with the beautiful Christmas tree.
As more residents & guests started trickling in, more shots & alcoholic beverages were being passed around, and conversation & laughter engulfed the room.
The White Russian shots made by Alfred were quite a hit.
Before we know it fireworks were shooting off over Lady Bird Lake.
Everyone rushed out to the pool deck & balcony to enjoy the show.
A few of us, myself included, admired the fireworks indoor, behind the glass windows, where it is perfectly warm & shielded from the brutally cold air.
And a couple more drinks & a few more photos...
Slowly but surely we made our way to the elevator, out to the cold & hopped, skipped + jumped our way to the venue.
Despite the minor incident happened towards the end of the night. I resolved not to talk bad or negative about anyone or any places on this blog. However, I was very disappointed with the service and treatment (from both the manager & staff) Chris & I received at the end of the night due to a stranger's wrongful action. I will just leave it at that & will not be going to Hangar Lounge for any future outings (or book any events here).
Nonetheless, it was so much fun celebrating & counting down the new years together with everyone.
It was a hell of a night & a crackling start to what I hope will be the best year yet!
Happy New Year!
