Goodbye 2013

By Vy Primozich - 9:54 PM

The start of 2013 was a tough one for me.

I was coming to the end of a very unhealthy relationship (with myself), I was unhappy & wasn't sure where my career was going, or who I really was.

I'd become quiet, distant, withdrawn & not very much myself.

At the end of Summer I finally decided to stop making excuses, start making changes & get out of my comfort zone.

I was scared & totally lost but thankfully not alone. The boyfriend have been the best support system I could ever asked for.

Having nothing to lose, I decided that I was going to do what makes me happy, stop worrying about living up to others' expectation & whatever opportunity came my way I was going to grab with both hands. It was time to jump into life feet first. I had nothing to lose, so I was just going to go for it.

My life & attitude changed almost over night.

I gave this blog a facelift. I started cooking & baking more. I traveled here+there & half way around the world for the first time in the last 15 years. I met some incredible people, rekindled old friendships & made new ones.

Of course there have been a few wobbles along the way but I can't express how happy I am to have taken those steps.

I'm starting my 2013 flashback from Spring, rather than the 1st of January because Spring is when my life really sprang back up again.

I've had reservation about sharing my personal-not-so-happy life with you but I remembered why I started blogging again -- for myself & anyone who is willing to read it and share similar experiences or interests.

My new years resolution is to be honest with myself, blog more frequently, & say yes to new adventures or to something I've never done before.

If for any reason you don't like where your life is at the moment, change it. You, only you have the power to do so. Make your own fate.

Happy New Year!
