Orange Summer

By Vy Primozich - 11:25 PM

I picked up a pair of summer, orange suede wedges not too long ago, in the mid-season sales so i figured it deserved a bit of a whirl around Austin. They are the perfect platform wedge to complete any summer outfit.
I think we've all been feeling a little more stuffy & sweaty in this scorching-hot-humid weather, so I'm sporting minimal clothing without looking tacky & unsophisticated!

Come on, you can't blame me for wearing this outfit especially having had to wait in the long queue at Hopdoddy and having wandered down South Congress in the blistering heat!
Oh, by blistering I mean 103°F.
But the cerulean sky was gorgeous!

There's a hidden gem set in the heart of SoCo called Hotel San Jose.
It's a quaint little boutique hotel. But you don't need to book a room to visit!
With the lush courtyard and shade greens everywhere it makes you forget you're in Austin.
Almost! If it wasn't for the scalding heat, you would definitely want to linger around a bit longer sipping on cocktails and people watching.
If you ever visit during the cooler months, promise me you'll stop by, order a cocktail or two, sit in the courtyard and relax.

And Jo's coffee is right next door!
It's my go-to lunch spot, except I normally go to the downtown location on 2nd Street District.
But this location is rather special.
It is well-known for its famous "i love you so much" graffiti on its lovely green wall.

Like the wise Robert Browning once said in the 1855 poem The Faultless Painter, "less is more."

Knit tank from Langford Market boutique on 2nd Street District, similar on NastyGal. Polarized sunnies from Oliver Peoples. Shorts (old) - a similar NastyGal pair. Leather belt from Banana Republic. The tote is by Burberry and my wedges are from Eleven boutique on SoCo but they don't sell them anymore so here's a similar Steve Madden pair - same style but only in black & brown leather, not orange suede. My bracelet is from another Luxe Apothetique

So come on, share. Have you found any treasures in the sales?
