Poblano Monterey Burger

By Vy Primozich - 10:15 PM

You can't beat a good ol' burger.
I don't mean those overly greasy, bland patty things you buy in wrapping paper at the drive thru.
I mean a deliciously great beast of a burger with fillings oozing all over the place and making your mouth water.
This bad boy has it all going on.
Beef patty.
Poblano.
Guacamole.
Cheese.
Caramelized onions.
Oh yeah, he's a bit of a hunk!

Here's what you need to make this bad boy:
ground chuck
(splash of heavy cream)
(couple dashes Worcestershire sauce)
poblano peppers
sweet onion
monterey cheese
avocado
lime
salt + pepper
whole wheat burger buns

Combine ground chuck + salt + pepper + Worcestershire sauce + splash of heavy cream.

Preheat oven 450F

Oven roasted sweet potato matchsticks (~ 20 - 30 mins) + poblano peppers (~20 mins).
Until fries are cooked and crispy + the skin of chile are soft.

Remove sweet potatoes and chile from oven.

Melt 1tsp butter in skillet and add sliced onions.
Cook until caramelized.

While the onions are cooking...heat 1 Tbs olive oil in another skillet. Add beef patty. Cook ~2-3mins each side for medium rare.

once patty is cooked, add slice of cheese and remove from heat.

Look at the deliciousness in the making.
Meanwhile, cut up avocado. sprinkle of salt. squeeze of lime. Mix together.
Broil burger buns for 30 - 45 seconds.

Assemble this bad boy together.

Feel free to add extra goodness aka cheese.
These babies were gone in no time.
After all I've been feeding us nothing but fish and chicken.
It's so good to have a juicy burger in the belly.
